Karl Chambers CISSP, PMP
President/CEO
Karl is an information security governance, assurance and risk professional. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Having served in the military for twenty years, he retired in the rank of Major and is a graduate of the UK Royal Marines CommandoTraining Center, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and Cranfield Institute of Technology, England.
He has over twenty-four years of information security experience in the military, U.S. Federal Government, U.S. Banking and international hospitality sectors.
Over the last eleven years he has successfully led Security Assessment & Authorization projects for numerous applications and General Support Systems, based on the NIACAP and NIST Special Publication 800-37 methodologies.
Karl is passionate about helping others succeed and is the co-founder and President of Integrity Children’s Fund, a charity focused on educating illiterate teenagers in Jamaica. He enjoys pistol shooting and is a very competitive and often ruthless kalooki, and spades player.
Michael Muehlberger CISM, HISP
Information Security Manager
Michael has over twenty years of technical experience with eight years of experience as Information Security Management Professional with substantial understanding of information security in a corporate and government environment. Specifically, he is focused on servicing our Commercial and U.S. Federal Government agency clients, where Diligent eSecurity provides Information Assurance and Security Authorization services.
Michael holds certifications as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Holistic Information Security Practitioner (HISP).
Michael also serves as Diligent's Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Chad Chambers CISSP
VP, Information Security and Compliance
Chad is an information security governance, assurance and risk professional. He currently manages Diligent’s Information Security and Compliance. Specifically, he is focused on servicing our Commercial and U.S. Federal Government agency clients, where Diligent eSecurity provides Information Assurance and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) services.
Chad is certified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has over 10 years of information security experience in the U.S. Federal Government, commercial and international hospitality sectors.
Chad has successfully led SA&A projects for numerous applications and General Support Systems, based on the NIST Special Publication 800-37 methodologies. He also helped numerous companies successfully prepare for compliance across Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standards.
Chad also serves as head of Contracts and Administration, responsible for the recruiting and on-boarding process, employee relations, contracting, and company compliance.
Prior to joining Diligent eSecurity, Chad worked in Private Equity Fund Management.
Chad is an avid soccer fan, specifically of the Arsenal and his boyhood Aldershot Town F.C.. Chad enjoyed an accomplished soccer career at both the club and collegiate levels, and continues to maintain his touch with the game. When not engaged with soccer, Chad can be found enjoying the company of his family and friends.
George Chitwood CISSP, CCSK , HISP, NSTISSI 4011, SSCA
Sr. Information Security Consultant
George is an information security professional who understands the fundamental information security risks at the national government level and the office work environment, and has built information security programs for both. George provides information security expertise over a range of information security disciplines, specializing in NIST SP800 series, ISO/IEC:27000 series and ISO/IEC:21827 based security program development, information security auditing and assessments, critical infrastructure protection, and information security policy.
George was an Assistant Director for Information Technology Security Compliance, Policy and Architecture for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Over the initial seven formative years of the Administration he managed multiple teams of Government and Contractor personnel in the performance of Certification and Accreditation, Policy creation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, National Transportation Sector Cyber Security, Security Architecture, Contractual Governance, Audit and Training. These teams brought TSA FISMA scores to an A-level, developed outstanding policy and audit groups, and instituted practicable security specific contractual guidance.
Prior to the TSA, George was a Management and Program Analyst at the Federal Aviation Administration where he developed their international computer security program and was liaison with the U.S. State Department on overseas Administrative support.
During his 36 year career in Government and Business sectors, George supported numerous military and commercial space, defense and aviation programs. The assignments were diverse, including mechanical and thermal engineering, internal project cost control, project team leadership, and new business proposals.
With his depth of experience in governmental, business and technical arenas, George is uniquely qualified to understand, manage and communicate information security issues at ministerial, boardroom and senior management levels. This has enabled George to successfully consult to governments and large corporations at an executive level.
George currently holds CISSP, CCSK, HISP, NSTISSI 4011 and SCADA Security Architect (SSCA) certifications. One of his latest endeavors was a paper on the Examination of the Benefits of (Wireless) Mesh and RFID in Containers, which he delivered at the International Association of Marine Economists Annual Conference in Athens Greece.
He lives in Athens, and is married with one son.
